Richard Rose

Dr. Richard Rose is Associate Professor and Program Director for the Masters of Education in Instructional Design & Technology at West Texas A&M University's Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences. He holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from SUNY Albany, along with master's degrees from the University of Chicago and New Mexico State University.

His research examines practical applications of instructional technology, focusing on skill transfer and maintaining human relationships in digital learning environments. He maintains skepticism toward statistical overinterpretation in educational research.

Rose has industry experience as Senior Instructional Designer at Microsoft (where he authored SQL training materials), Boeing, and Quantum CyberStorage. He facilitates weekly non-academic Zoom discussions connecting current students, alumni, and prospective candidates.
