Richard Rosch

Dr. Richard Rosch is a Clinical Lecturer in Basic & Clinical Neuroscience at King's College London, affiliated with the School of Neuroscience and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience. He holds an honorary clinical fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital. His research focuses on large-scale neuronal network dynamics, particularly in childhood epilepsies, combining computational modeling with clinical and experimental approaches.

Dr. Rosch completed a BMBCh (Medicine) and Neuroscience BA at the University of Oxford, followed by a PhD in Theoretical Neurobiology from UCL. He is a Sir Henry Wellcome Postdoctoral Fellow and leads a lab investigating how molecular synaptic dysfunction propagates to abnormal whole-brain activity patterns in epilepsy.

His work integrates theoretical physics, bioengineering, and clinical neuroscience, using zebrafish models and patient recordings to study seizure mechanisms. Key collaborations include Prof. Karl Friston (UCL) and Prof. Arian Ashourvan (Kansas).

Recent grants include ARIA Precision Neurotechnologies Programme funding for neuropsychiatric disorder research. His lab explores translational approaches linking genetic epilepsies to brain network dysfunction, with projects funded by Wellcome Trust and Advanced Research & Invention Agency.
