About
Richard Neu is a Professor and Director of the Materials Processing and Characterization Facility at Georgia Tech's School of Materials Science and Engineering. His research examines fatigue behavior in materials for aerospace, power generation, and electronics applications.
Neu's work integrates experimental characterization with constitutive modeling to predict material degradation under thermomechanical stress. Current projects include machine learning approaches for fatigue prediction and additive manufacturing process optimization.
He holds fellowships in five professional societies including the National Academy of Engineering and serves on editorial boards for leading materials science journals.
