Richard Nelson, MD, is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Pathology at the School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. He also serves as Chairman of the Department of Pathology at University Hospitals Portage Medical Center. His expertise lies in various areas of pathology, including Cytopathology, Surgical Pathology, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Dr. Nelson completed his Doctor of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University in 1992 and a Bachelor of Science from Youngstown State University in 1989. He has undergone specialized training through fellowships in Cytopathology at Summa Health System (1998), Surgical Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic (1997), and a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Cleveland Clinic (1996).
