Richard McCluskey is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Geography at Aquinas College. He joined the institution in 1999 and teaches human and cultural geography courses, specializing in economic, industrial, and urban geography. Prior to Aquinas, he taught at the State University of New York at Geneseo and worked as a researcher for the Washington Department of Social and Health Services, where he led the Washington Household Needs Assessment Survey on alcohol and drug use.
His research focuses on the economic and geographic restructuring of the automobile industry, historical geography of immigrant groups in the U.S., and survey research addressing social and economic issues. He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from Pennsylvania State University and a B.S. from Michigan State University.
