Richard J. Conviser is a Professor of Law at Illinois Tech Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he has been since 1973. He previously taught at DePaul University Law School and worked at the international law firm Baker & McKenzie. He was appointed by the Governor of Illinois to establish the state's first foreign legal office, serving as Deputy European Director in Brussels. Conviser holds a Dr. Jur. from the University of Cologne School of Law, a J.D. from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), and a B.A. from UC Berkeley.
