About
Richard Ivry is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of California, Berkeley. His research investigates cerebellar contributions to sensorimotor learning, cognition, and timing through the Cognition and Action Lab, using cognitive neuroscience approaches with healthy and clinical populations.
Major contributions include the universal cerebellar transform hypothesis, proposing a fundamental computation (e.g., prediction/coordination) applied across motor and cognitive domains. Honored with the Troland Award, Williams James Fellow Award, and American Academy of Arts and Sciences fellowship, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon.
