Richard I. Enelow is a Professor of Medicine and Microbiology and Immunology at the Geisel School of Medicine, Dartmouth College. He serves as Vice-Chair for Research Affairs in the Department of Medicine and directs the Interstitial Lung Disease Program.

His research focuses on the immunopathogenesis of respiratory virus infections, influenza pathogenesis, and inflammatory/immune-mediated lung diseases. He has extensive experience with respiratory viruses (influenza, RSV) and mouse/human immunology.
Recent publications highlight clinical trials in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and mechanistic studies on viral-bacterial interactions. His lab includes junior faculty, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and research assistants.
