Richard Holti

Dr. Richard Holti is a Senior Lecturer at The Open University, affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Law and the Department for People and Organisations. He served as a Co-investigator on the Catalyst team, focusing on organizational and cultural change through action research, and as Associate Dean, contributed to postgraduate curriculum development.

• Education: BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University; MSc and PhD in organizational sociology from Imperial College London.

His research spans collaborative organizational change, action research methodologies, and interdisciplinary engagement across manufacturing, construction, and healthcare sectors. Recent work, funded by the NHS, explores clinician-led redesign of multi-agency dementia care, with findings published by the Department of Health in 2013.

Dr. Holti has supervised multiple postgraduate research students to PhD completion and currently supervises Clare Mumford. He led an innovative mentoring program for teaching and learning transitions and collaborates with BMJ Learning to deliver leadership education for clinicians.
