Richard Hill is Professor and Head of Computer Science at the University of Huddersfield, where he directs the Centre for Industrial Analytics and Centre for Sustainable Computing. His research develops distributed systems for Industry 4.0 applications.
Hill's work spans cloud/edge analytics, IoT security, and industrial automation. He applies multi-agent systems and machine learning to optimize manufacturing processes and resource allocation. Recent projects investigate in-transit data analytics for predictive maintenance and quality inspection.
