Richard Grunberg

Richard Grunberg is an Associate Professor in Media Production at Toronto Metropolitan University's RTA School of Media, where he has been a full-time faculty member since 2001. He maintains an active freelance career alongside his academic role.

His research focuses on digital cinema, virtual production, and broadcast technology. Grunberg pioneered the world's first Unreal Engine-based system for broadcast and film production and contributed to TMU's Advanced Visualization Lab. He currently explores new virtual production methodologies and HD bidirectional broadcast over IP.

Grundberg directs two key labs: the Digital Cinema and Advanced Visualization Laboratory and the Global Campus Studio Live.
