Richard Gold is a Full Professor of Law and Medicine at McGill University, holding the title of James McGill Professor. He is affiliated with the Faculty of Law and serves as an Associate Member in the Department of Human Genetics within the Faculty of Medicine. His research focuses on intellectual property law in life sciences, biotechnology, and innovation governance.
Gold advises major organizations including Health Canada, the OECD, WHO, and WIPO. He contributed to landmark OECD guidelines on genetic inventions and collaborative IP mechanisms.
