Richard GP Lopata is a Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology within the Department of Biomedical Engineering, leading the PULS/e Lab (Photoacoustics & Ultrasound Laboratory Eindhoven). His research focuses on advanced ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging technologies for clinical applications in cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and obstetric medicine.
He has developed 2D/3D ultrasound strain imaging, photoacoustic techniques for atherosclerotic plaque assessment, and patient-specific biomechanical models of arteries.
