Richard Chaykowski is a Professor in Employment Relations Studies at Queen's University, cross-appointed to the Faculty of Law and member of the Centre for the Study of Law in the Contemporary Workplace Advisory Board. He served as director of the MIR and undergraduate Employment Relations programs from 2015-2022.
His research examines labour policy in the new economy, collective bargaining, workplace training innovation, and technological change impacts. He has served as an expert in landmark legal cases including BC Health Services, Withler, and Fraser.
Professor Chaykowski has held visiting positions at MIT, University of Toronto and McGill University, and served as Research Director for the federal Expert Panel on Older Workers. He has published extensively on industrial relations and labour policy.
