Rich Gere

Rich Gere is Professor of Art Studio at the University of Alabama at Birmingham's College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Art and Art History. He received his B.F.A. from University of Massachusetts and M.F.A. from University of Tennessee.

Gere's interdisciplinary practice combines print media, alternative photographic techniques, paper sculpture, and installation art. His research examines art-science intersections, particularly developing visual arts pedagogy for medical and nursing education. He maintains an active exhibition record with over 250 shows internationally.
