Ricardo Nemirovsky

Professor Ricardo Nemirovsky is a faculty member at Manchester Metropolitan University’s School of Education. His research focuses on embodied cognition, mathematics education, and the intersection of learning with museum experiences. He has led major projects such as InforMath (2013–2017), which aimed to enhance science and art museum learning through mathematics-oriented initiatives. Nemirovsky’s work emphasizes the role of affect and physical experience in mathematical understanding, often collaborating with museums globally. He has also contributed to pedagogical reforms in Latin America and Spain, advocating for emancipatory teaching practices that recognize students’ intellectual equality.
