- Master of Business Administration, Management Sciences, Strategy – ISEG (2005)
His research focuses on strategic management, corporate governance, internationalization, digital transformation, and sustainability, with a methodological emphasis on fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA). He investigates how organizational purpose influences employee motivation, the drivers of digital transformation in family firms, and sustainability in sectors like shipping and port management. His work bridges theory and practice through applied research projects with national and international organizations.
Ricardo Rodrigues’ recent publications reveal a strong focus on digital transformation, sustainability, and organizational behavior. His studies employ fsQCA to explore complex causal relationships in management, particularly in family businesses, public sector performance, and innovation. Key themes include corporate governance’s role in R&D investment, green shipping, freemium adoption, and social media addiction. His interdisciplinary approach connects management science with psychology, environmental studies, and entrepreneurship.
He has supervised numerous Master’s theses at ISEG, covering topics such as customer retention in energy markets, inclusive advertising, fintech internationalization, and Industry 4.0 in agriculture. While no formal grants or scientific awards are listed, his leadership in CEGE/ISEG and involvement in collaborative research projects indicate active engagement in funded or institutionally supported initiatives. He also contributes to academic events and editorial work, including a special issue on social marketing.
Ricardo Rodrigues is actively involved in research through two key centers: ADVANCE, CSG, where he works on management topics such as strategy and governance, and CEGE/ISEG, which he directs and which fosters applied research collaborations between ISEG faculty and external organizations. These labs support projects that connect academic insights with real-world business and policy challenges.
