Ric Price

Professor Ric Price is an infectious disease physician and academic with dual affiliations: as Professor of Global Health at the Menzies School of Health Research and Professor of Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford’s Centre of Tropical Medicine. He leads translational research focused on multidrug-resistant malaria, particularly Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax, integrating clinical studies, epidemiology, and molecular biology. His work emphasizes improving malaria diagnosis, treatment optimization, and radical cure strategies through large-scale clinical trials across multiple endemic countries.
