Dr. Rhonda Dobbs is an Associate Professor and former Department Head of Criminal Justice at Tarleton State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Criminology from Florida State University and researches media influences on crime perceptions, punitive attitudes, and sentencing disparities.
Her work examines fear of crime formation, gender disparities in criminal justice processing, and cross-national comparisons of punitive attitudes. Dr. Dobbs has supervised over 50 graduate theses and serves on editorial boards for criminal justice publications.
