Dr. Rhett Davis is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, where he has been since 2002. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley (2002), and earlier degrees from UC Berkeley and NC State. His research focuses on 3D integrated circuits (3DIC), low-power/high-performance circuit design, and CAD tools for emerging technologies. He leads the development of the FreePDK open-source process design kit, which has significantly advanced EDA standards.
