Retalis Simeon

Retalis Simeon is a Professor at the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus, within the School of Information and Communication Technologies. His research focuses on technology-supported learning systems, interactive educational tools, and child-centered educational software development. He has authored over 150 publications in scientific journals and conferences, including invited talks at international events. His work has been recognized through awards such as the Microsoft Imagine Cup and Intel Business Challenge, and he was featured in ACM Computing Reviews (2017) for his impactful research.

He leads the CoSyLlab (Computer-Supported Learning Engineering Lab) and has coordinated over 30 research projects funded by the European Union, national grants, and industry partners like SmartEducation and Google. Key contributions include tools like CADMOS (learning process design), LAER (Moodle data analysis), WWFEducationalAtlas (digital game), and ComicStripCreator. His expertise spans collaborative research, software innovation, and peer review for major education technology journals.
