Renée J. Miller is Professor and Canada Excellence Research Chair in Data Intelligence at the University of Waterloo. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and ACM, her research transforms how organizations manage and derive value from heterogeneous data sources.
Professor Miller pioneered foundational work in schema mapping and data exchange recognized by the ICDT Test-of-Time Award. Her current research develops frameworks for semantic data discovery in data lakes, including the SANTOS system for relationship-based table search and Gen-T for table reclamation.
