Renee Wever is a Professor of Industrial Design Engineering at Linköping University, Sweden, within the Department of Management and Engineering (IEI). Her research focuses on user-centered design for sustainability and circularity, alongside practices of design. She leads the Design research area, emphasizing packaging sustainability and systemic approaches to environmental challenges.
Academically, she holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology (2009) and an MSc in Industrial Design Engineering (2003). She teaches in the PhD program in design, the international master’s program in design (MDES), and courses on design and product development. Her editorial roles include the Journal of Design Research and Packaging Technology and Science.
