About
Renaud Lambiotte is Professor of Networks and Nonlinear Systems at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. With a Ph.D. in physics from Université libre de Bruxelles, his research focuses on modeling and analyzing processes on large networks, particularly social and brain networks. He previously held positions at ENS Lyon, Université de Liège, UCLouvain, Imperial College London, and University of Namur.
Research areas include:
- Diffusion processes on temporal networks
- Community detection algorithms
- Nonequilibrium dynamics in neural systems
- Coarse-graining techniques for complex networks
- Anomaly detection in spatio-temporal data
His publications demonstrate advanced mathematical approaches to network science, with recent applications in neuroscience, crisis response, and biological systems modeling. Honors include the Prix Wernaers (2013, 2016, 2020) and Verdickt-Rijdams Prize (2016) for interdisciplinary work bridging science and literature.
