Prof. Renate Oberhoffer-Fritz holds the Chair of Preventive Pediatrics at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) since 2009. Her primary affiliation is with the TUM School of Medicine and Health. A renowned expert in fetal cardiology and early prevention of cardiovascular diseases, she focuses on non-invasive phenotyping of early atherosclerosis and intervention programs for children with congenital heart defects and oncological diseases.
Her academic career includes training at the University Children's Hospital in Ulm, Imperial College London as a DFG Research Fellow, and habilitation in pediatric cardiology. She co-founded the Mother and Child Center RDI at TUM and currently leads fetal cardiology at the German Heart Center Munich.
