Regina Scheyvens

Professor Regina Scheyvens is a faculty member at Massey University's School of People, Environment and Planning. She serves as Co-Director of the Pacific Research and Policy Centre and a Doctoral Mentor Supervisor. Her research examines the intersections of tourism, sustainable development, poverty reduction, and empowerment in Pacific Island nations and Southern Africa.

• Key research areas: tourism and SDGs, customary land economics, corporate social responsibility in the Pacific
• Supervision interests: community development, sustainable livelihoods, gender equity, and cultural impacts of development

• John Rooney Award (2019) for applied contributions in tourism/geography
