Regina Luttrell is Senior Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Public Relations at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, Syracuse University. She leads research initiatives, oversees school centers/institutes, and coordinates AI-related studies in media. Her research focuses on public relations strategy, AI ethics, generational workforce dynamics, and social media's societal impact. She co-directs the Emerging Insights Lab exploring AI and emerging technologies. Notable publications include Democracy in the Disinformation Age (2021) and Public Relations and the Rise of AI (2025). Luttrell has over a dozen authored books and extensive conference presentations. Prior to academia, she worked in corporate PR and marketing, bringing practical industry insights to her academic work.
