About
Reetika Joshi is a Postdoc Researcher at the Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics (RoCS), University of Oslo since February 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from DSB Campus, Kumaun University, Nainital, India (2015–2021) under Prof. Ramesh Chandra, focusing on 'Study of Solar Jets and Related Flares'. Her research integrates space-borne instruments (SDO, IRIS, STEREO) and ground-based observations (e.g., Swedish 1-m Solar Telescope) to study solar chromosphere dynamics and coronal jets.
Key research interests include multi-wavelength solar jet analysis, solar flare dynamics, and combining observational data with numerical models. She has conducted collaborative work at institutions like Observatoire de Paris (France) and the University of Science and Technology, Hefei (China).
Awards include the IAU Best Ph.D. Thesis At-large Award (2021), Raman Charpak Fellowship (2020), and SCOSTEP Visiting Fellowship (2019). Current projects involve 'Unraveling Surges' and 'Whole Sun' initiatives to study eruptive solar phenomena through observational and machine learning approaches.
