Professor Reed Elizabeth Loder teaches at Vermont Law School and Dartmouth College, specializing in legal ethics, environmental ethics, and property law. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Connecticut Law School, she clerked for the U.S. District Court and co-founded Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger, a leading public interest environmental law firm. She serves on the New Hampshire Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics.

Research Focus:
Her work examines ethical discretion in law, attorney confidentiality, judicial impartiality, and the intersection of religion with environmental policy. She is writing 'Lawyers and Virtue,' a book on professional ethics.
