Recep ÇATAR serves as a Lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Bayburt University's Faculty of Engineering. He holds multiple leadership roles including Department Manager for Mechanical Engineering, Head of the Department of Mechanical, and Deputy Head of the Department of Machine Theory and Dynamics. Additionally, he serves on the Faculty Board and heads the Institute Board for Graduate Education.
His research focuses on core Mechanical Engineering disciplines, with specialization in Machine Theory and Dynamics as evidenced by his administrative role in the Department of Machine Theory and Dynamics. These interests align with fundamental engineering principles and sustainable development goals.
Dr. ÇATAR actively participates in university governance through key commissions: as Chair of the Book and Lecture Notes Identification Commission, Scientific Activity Reports Commission, Exemption/Transfer Commission, Internship Commission, and Quality Commission within Mechanical Engineering; and as Member of the Faculty Graduation Commission, Internal Control Monitoring Commission, and Unit Quality Commission at the Faculty of Engineering level.
