Rebekah Roberts is a Clinical Instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. As a full-time faculty member and practitioner in the Faculty Practice Plan, she works in VCU Health System's Complex Care Unit. Her research focuses on nursing mentorship, transition-to-practice strategies, simulation education, and applying Benner's novice-to-expert framework.
Her clinical practice and research interests include:
- Developing mentorship programs for new nurses and nurse practitioners
- Improving transition from education to clinical practice
- Designing simulation-based learning experiences
- Implementing Benner's nursing theory in clinical education
She actively contributes to professional organizations including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners, and volunteers with the Virginia Department of Health Medical Reserve Corps.
