Rebekah Bennetch

Rebekah Bennetch is a Lecturer at the Ron and Jane Graham School of Professional Development, University of Saskatchewan. She holds academic affiliations with the College of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching and Learning, and serves as a Speaker for the University’s Speakers’ Bureau. Her roles include ISW Facilitator, faculty instructor, and pedagogical consultant.

Dr. Bennetch completed a Cross-Departmental PhD in Education (2019–present), an M.Ed. in Educational Technology (2016), and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (2009) from the University of Saskatchewan, alongside a B.A. in English from Armstrong Atlantic State University (2002).

Her research focuses on educational technology, formative assessment, trauma-informed teaching, and faculty development. Notable themes include ungrading methodologies, pandemic pedagogy adaptations, and integrating Indigenous knowledge systems into assessment frameworks. Recent work emphasizes harm reduction strategies in universities and reimagining academic integrity practices through narrative inquiry.

Publications highlight innovations in assessment practices, pandemic-driven pedagogy, and rhetoric’s role in education. Her 2025 works explore post-pandemic institutional trust-building and creative motivational techniques like sticker-based classroom engagement. Earlier research includes analyses of virtual learning communities post-9/11 and rhetorical critiques of religious texts.
