Rebecka Brinch is a Lecturer at the Department of Culture and Aesthetics, Stockholm University. She holds a PhD from Stockholm University (2018) focusing on Suzanne Osten's Theatre for Children. Her research explores theatre and migration, particularly in children’s performing arts, aiming to investigate inclusive representations and societal divides. She leads projects funded by the Swedish Research Council, including 'Staging Migration' (2020-2025) and 'Being Swedish and Oneself' (2023-2024), which examine migration narratives in children’s theatre and democratizing research communication through drama. Additionally, she collaborates on the INFLUX project studying Ukrainian migration integration in Nordic schools. Her teaching spans performance analysis, Swedish theatre, and children’s culture, emphasizing interdisciplinary connections between academia and practical fields. She edits scholarly works and contributes to public lectures on theatre’s societal role.
