Rebecca Reck

Rebecca Reck is a Teaching Associate Professor and Associate Head for Undergraduate Programs in the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She holds a Ph.D. in Systems and Entrepreneurial Engineering from UIUC (2016), and prior roles include Assistant Professor at Kettering University and Systems Engineer at Rockwell Collins, Inc. Her research focuses on biomedical engineering education, emphasizing inclusive pedagogy, educational technology, and experiential learning. Dr. Reck has pioneered innovative approaches to integrating generative AI in laboratory courses while addressing equity and ethics. She actively contributes to professional societies such as ASEE and SWE, serving on committees like the Frontiers in Education Conference Steering Committee and Women in Academia.
