Rebecca Miller

Rebecca Miller serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Chemistry Department at Lafayette College, where she teaches multiple courses in the General Chemistry curriculum each semester.

Dr. Miller's academic focus centers on chemistry education rather than traditional laboratory research. She approaches teaching as her primary scholarly activity, continuously experimenting with new teaching strategies and assessment techniques to enhance student learning. Her educational philosophy emphasizes helping students understand fundamental chemical principles and their applications to real-world scenarios, recognizing that many students in general chemistry courses will not pursue chemistry as their major field of study.

She has developed CHEM 103 (General Chemistry w/ Recitation), which she has taught since fall 2022, and also teaches CHEM 107 (General Chemistry I). Her teaching methodology focuses on developing students' analytical problem-solving skills that will serve them in future courses and potential careers.
