Rebecca Forney is a Lecturer in the Department of English at Tufts University, affiliated with the School of Arts and Sciences. Her research focuses on 20th-century francophone literature, postcolonial studies, comparative feminist theories, deconstruction, psychoanalysis, and literatures of exile and migration. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Binghamton University (SUNY).

Her work examines embodied feminism in Algerian author Assia Djebar's writings, engaging with Julia Kristeva's concept of the chora. A chapter from her dissertation was published in The Many Voices of Europe (De Gruyter, 2020).
