Rebeca Cunill

Rebeca Cunill is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Washington University in St. Louis, within the Arts & Sciences school. She holds a PhD from Florida International University. Her research focuses on contemporary Spanish American literature and second language acquisition. Cunill currently teaches Intermediate Spanish (SPAN 201), Advanced Reading and Writing (SPAN 308), Literary and Cultural Studies in Spanish (SPAN 341), and Spanish for the Social Sciences (SPAN 355). She serves as Coordinator of Advanced Reading and Writing (SPAN 308) and previously led the Spanish club (Club Ñ) as its founding faculty advisor and Cultural Activities Coordinator.

Her academic background includes a doctorate in a field relevant to her teaching and research specialties. She maintains an active role in curriculum development and student engagement through her coordination roles and club advisement.
