Razvan Gelca

Razvan Gelca is Professor of Mathematics at Texas Tech University, where his research bridges topology, mathematical physics and representation theory. His work on Chern-Simons theory connects quantum invariants, theta functions and knot polynomials through quantization frameworks.

He established correspondences between quantum group quantization and Weyl quantization for SU(2)-connections, providing geometric interpretations of topological invariants. Recent articles analyze skein algebra representations on knot complements.
