Raymond Anthony is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Philosophy. His research focuses on bioethical analysis, environmental philosophy, veterinary ethics, and the philosophy of technology. He leads a National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA)-funded project on animal disease management preparedness, emphasizing ethical engagement with veterinarians, disaster managers, and citizens. He serves as Co-Editor of the International Library of Environmental, Agricultural, and Food Ethics (LEAF) Series (Springer) and on the American Veterinary Medical Association’s Humane Endings Panels.
