Ray Vanderby is a Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He also holds appointments in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation, where he directs the Orthopedic Research Laboratories, and maintains affiliate appointments in the Departments of Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics, as well as Materials Science and Engineering.
His research focuses on orthopedic tissues such as bone, ligament, tendon, and cartilage, with an emphasis on wound healing and regeneration. Key methodologies include:
