Ravi Thomas serves as an Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Silicon Valley campus, contributing to the M.S. in Software Management and M.S. in Technology Ventures programs. His expertise spans entrepreneurship, new venture strategy, and financial fundamentals for startups.

Ravi combines academic teaching with extensive industry experience as a CFO and startup executive. He co-founded Jareva Technologies, leading its transformation from a service business to a software product company before its acquisition by Veritas. He also raised $30M+ for startups via venture capital firms like Mayfield and Hummer Winblad. His prior academic roles include Assistant Professor at Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Visiting Fellow at the IMF.
His consulting work as a CFO for multiple startups and his role in managing NASA Research Park through University Associates highlight his dual focus on academia and real-world business leadership.
