Ravi R Jhaveri is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he serves as Chief of Infectious Diseases and Division Head for Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He joined the faculty in October 2018 after previous appointments at Duke and UNC.

Dr. Jhaveri's research focuses on Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in children, including epidemiology, natural history, treatment, and vertical transmission. He has also investigated outcomes studies in pediatric infectious diseases, influenza vaccines, and Hepatitis B prevention. His work addresses lipid metabolism in HCV-infected liver cells and physician decision-making in managing febrile infants.
His recent publications span pediatric infectious diseases billing, HCV in reproductive-age women, neuropsychiatric sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection, and scientific integrity in medical journals. These works reflect interdisciplinary engagement with virology, clinical economics, maternal health, and public policy.
