Ravi Jain

Ravi Jain is an Assistant Professor of Liberal Studies and Co-Director of the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program at Eastern University. He is completing his doctorate in Philosophical Theology at Oriel College, Oxford University, with a dissertation titled Whose Mathematics, Which World?

Education: Pursuing a Doctorate in Philosophical Theology at Oriel College, Oxford University. Prior to this, he engaged in seminary education and has taught calculus and physics for twenty years.

Research interests focus on philosophical theology, mathematics’ role in shaping epistemology and metaphysics, and affirming the reality of the world against skepticism. Publications include The Liberal Arts Tradition (translated into Chinese and Portuguese), A New Natural Philosophy, and the upcoming The Enchanted Cosmos (2024), which examines how mathematics reflects theological truths.
