KTH Royal Institute of TechnologyAbout
Ratish Rao Nagaraj Rao serves as a Research Fellow within the Division of Condensed Matter Theory at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Affiliated with the Nonlinear and Quantum Photonics (NQP) group at the Albanova University Center, his research focuses on developing scalable hybrid photonic devices for quantum communication, particularly silicon–lithium niobate (Si–LiNbO₃) electro-optic modulators.
Dr. Rao earned his PhD from Laboratoire Hubert Curien at l'Université de Saint-Étienne, specializing in grating waveguide fabrication via laser interference lithography for spectral stabilization of diode and thin-disk lasers. His core research spans photonic integrated circuits, micro/nano-structuring techniques, nanofabrication processes, and hybrid photonic platforms, with emphasis on quantum communication applications.
Recognized through the WACQT-Finnish postdoctoral fellowship, his work bridges photonic integration and quantum information science. Within the NQP group, he collaborates on advancing electro-optic technologies while maintaining active scholarly profiles via LinkedIn and ORCiD.
