Rasmus Rask Poulsen

Rasmus Rask Poulsen is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Ethnology at the SAXO-Institute, Faculty of Humanities, University of Copenhagen (2024-2026). His work explores memory, museums, archives, and the anthropology of Christianity, emphasizing generational dynamics and future-making amid crises like "permacrisis."

His publications (2018-2025) consistently analyze heritage-making in religious communities, particularly the Moravian Brethren in Christiansfeld. Recent work reveals how ongoing crises destabilize temporal routines and reshape future imaginaries across age groups, with strong emphasis on ethnographic fieldwork and crisis-induced temporal disruptions.

Currently, Dr. Poulsen collaborates on the Nordic research project "Disrupted Temporalities" (2023-2026), investigating crisis impacts on time perceptions in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. His doctoral research involved twelve months of fieldwork in Christiansfeld, resulting in the thesis "Keeping up with the Moravians" (2023).
