Rasmi Muammer

Prof. Rasmi Muammer is a Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health Sciences, Yeditepe University. He holds academic ranks including Professor (since 2019), Associate Professor (2014–2019), and Assistant Professor (2008–2014). His research focuses on physiotherapy interventions for chronic conditions, respiratory disorders, neurological disorders (e.g., cerebral palsy), and geriatric rehabilitation. He has authored/co-authored multiple books, including Supported Employment Model For People with Intellectual Disabilities and Elektroterapi ve Fiziksel Modaliteler.

Research interests include neuromuscular electrical stimulation, respiratory rehabilitation, pediatric physiotherapy, and exercise physiology. His recent articles address topics like asthma management in the elderly, fibromyalgia treatment, and cerebral palsy gait analysis.

He has received awards such as the Kut SARPYENER Health and Sports Science Award (2009) and ADS Excellence Awards from Yeditepe University. He has supervised over 30 master’s theses and led projects like the Erasmus+ Job Coaching Training program (2014–2016).

Administrative roles include Deputy Dean of Yeditepe University (2012–2018). He is a member of the Turkish Respiratory Diseases Association and SASBİL Health and Social Sciences Association.
