Rasa Justaite Geceviciene

Rasa Justaite Geceviciene is a Lecturer and Head of the Department of Ceramics at the Vilnius Academy of Arts (VAA). She has held her lecturer position since 2011 and assumed leadership of the Ceramics Department in 2016. Her professional background includes extensive participation in national and international exhibitions, including seven solo exhibitions and symposia. She has received notable recognition, including a nomination at the 2012 International Biennial of Applied Arts in Chisinau and scholarships from the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture in 2006 and 2010.

Her research and artistic practice focuses on ceramic art, with interests spanning sculpture, applied arts, and contemporary art education. She has engaged in academic mobility programs at institutions such as Gerrit Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam), Aalto University (Helsinki), and École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs Duperré (Paris). She has also contributed to international teaching collaborations through Erasmus+ programs at the Estonian Academy of Arts and Hacettepe University.

As a member of the Lithuanian Artists Association since 2003, her work bridges traditional ceramic techniques with contemporary artistic expression, reflecting her commitment to both academic and creative excellence.
