Raquel Navas is an Assistant Professor in Hispanic Studies at the University of Warwick's Faculty of Arts, joining in 2014. She previously worked as a language tutor in Spanish and Catalan at the University of Birmingham and taught Spanish language and culture at Aston University. Her research examines how street-level Spanish presence in the UK enhances language learning and investigates post-Brexit shifts in language visibility.
Her work includes publications on the educational potential of linguistic landscapes and co-edited volumes on Spanish language teaching. She coordinates the HS Linguistic Landscape project, analyzing real-world language input for acquisition.
