Ranko Matasović is a Full Professor of Linguistics at the University of Zagreb since 2004, specializing in Comparative Indo-European Linguistics. He serves as Head of the Chair of Comparative Indo-European Linguistics since 1996 and holds leadership roles at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, including Vice-secretary of its Philology Department since 2022.
