Ranjan Ray

Ranjan Ray is a Professor of Economics at Monash University's Department of Economics. He teaches courses on development economics (ECC 3670) and public finance (ECC 3810). His academic journey includes a PhD from the London School of Economics, an MA from Delhi School of Economics, and a BA from the University of Calcutta.

Research interests span multidimensional deprivation, poverty/inequality measurement, child welfare, tax policy, and intrahousehold resource allocation. His work combines econometric rigor with policy applications, addressing issues from child labor to environmental health impacts.
